Your Fixture, Your Style

The Vita screws into any standard E26 socket -  floor lamp, recessed can, sconce, or pendant. No special hardware, no installation. If you don't have a fixture in mind, our Willow and Fern lamp stands are built specifically for the Vita.

The Vita delivers full-spectrum light to the corners, shelves, and rooms where natural light never makes it. Dark apartment. North-facing room. Office with no windows. Two bulbs means two more places your plants can actually thrive.

Vita Hanging Heights

The recommended hanging height for the Vita Grow Light depends on the lighting fixture and the lighting requirements for your specific plant(s). The Narrow (36º) Beam Angle is great for plants farther than 3ft from the light (e.g. recessed can lighting, pendant style lighting applications). The Wide (60º) Beam Angle is great for plants closer than 3ft away from the light (e.g. lamp fixtures & desktop lighting applications).

Great light, rather heavy

"I have been so grateful to this lamp for helping my saguaro recover from etiolation, but it's definitely a challenge to find a lamp to put it in. I finally found a couple of table lamps and then put counterweights on the bases (a purple mason jar full of water, a 6lb hand weight), and it works just fine! I also found a floor lamp that fit my third Vita bulb. That also required a counterweight, but it doesn't matter to me. My organ pipe and my saguaro (Ajo and Wren, respectively) are happy with the supplementation since they're not in direct sun all day!"

Finally. . . Dimmable and NOT Pink!

"I thought that warm, beautiful, soft white light suitable for a living room was an impossibility. I was wrong. These spotlights cast the perfect color temperature for any decorative living space, and after just a few days, I can tell that my plants absolutely love these bulbs. Don't bother with the cheap no name bulbs on Amazon. Soltech is actually worth the money."

Decent Grow Bulb for Houseplants

"For work I am a senior crop advisor and specialize in indoor controlled environment horticulture. I purchased this Vita grow light for my personal houseplant collection, I have north facing windows and not enough natural light. My Vita bulb is 28-30" above my plants (monstera and philodendron) and they receive 50-60 PPFD (~2 DLI). To be honest, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of light intensity from this bulb, I was expecting more. Most houseplants (anthurium, alocasia, monstera, pothos, etc) thrive under DLI's between 6-12. Was hoping for a higher light intensity from this bulb but its just not capable of it, may have consider the higher wattage Aspect fixture or another option. Great choice for aesthetics but not if you are trying to provide your plants with the appropriate light levels. Im even suspect if the Aspect has enough PAR light to bring my DLI up."

How long are these lights supposed to last?
Hey Janet, it all depends on how long you have the lights on a day but here are the average life spans listed below. Vita: 5 years Aspect: 15 years Highland: 8 years All of our lights come with a 5 year warranty. Please reach out to hello@soltech.com for any additional questions.
