Spearmint plants can be grown in bright or moderate, indirect light conditions. However, the leaves will have the most flavor when grown in full sun (bright, direct light). The spearmint leaves will produce more oil will stronger sunlight. Placing your spearmint in a south-facing window will supply suitable lighting. For spearmint to thrive successfully indoors, proper irrigation is essential. Try to maintain a constant moisture level in the soil that is not wet. When the top inch of soil seems dry to the touch, water the plant. Make sure the water gets to the root zone by properly moistening the soil using a watering can or sprayer. Overwatering should be avoided as it might cause root rot and other moisture-related problems. To avoid waterlogging, drain extra water from the saucer or tray under the plant. It's vital to remember that depending on variables like temperature, humidity, and pot size, the frequency of watering may change. Keep a close eye on the soil's moisture content and adjust the watering schedule as necessary. Additionally, since it can help avoid fungal problems, spearmint loves a minor drying out in between waterings. You can adequately hydrate your indoor spearmint plant and promote its healthy growth by using these watering techniques.

Temperature

Preferred Temperature: 60º - 75º

To maintain suitable humidity for spearmint, provide good air circulation, avoid overwatering, and ensure proper drainage to prevent waterlogged soil. If the air is too dry, misting the leaves or using a humidifier can help raise humidity levels. Regularly monitoring and adjusting humidity conditions will contribute to the healthy growth of spearmint plants.

How to Propagate a Spearmint Plant
Spearmint can be propagated using stem cuttings. Pick a spearmint plant that is mature and healthy if you want to reproduce it. Take a 4-6 inch stem cutting just below a leaf node with clean, well-kept scissors or pruning shears. Leave a couple of sets of leaves at the top after removing the lower leaves.
