FAQs: Aspect™ Pendant Grow Lights

The Aspect™ Gen 2 is Soltech's best-selling pendant grow light, a full-spectrum LED that hangs from the ceiling or a wall mount and looks like a modern pendant fixture. It delivers 50 μmol/s of plant-usable light (PPF) from just 36 watts, has a built-in 10–100% dimmer, and gives off warm 3000K light with a CRI of 98, so your plants grow and your room still looks natural.

Choose the Aspect™ Gen 2 on its own if you'll hang it from the ceiling with the included swag hook. For wall mounting, the Rise & Shine Bundle pairs it with the Pinocchio (for plants near the wall), the Luna set with a birch arch (about 15 inches of reach), and the Bethlehem Star Gift Set with the clear Archetto. For no drilling at all, choose the Aspect with Stello Pendant Stand Set.

It depends on your plant's light needs: 12–24 inches for full-sun plants like succulents and citrus, 24–36 inches for bright-light plants like fiddle leaf figs, 36–48 inches for monsteras and peace lilies, and 48–72 inches for low-light plants like snake plants and pothos. Use the built-in dimmer to fine-tune without moving the light.

Nearly any houseplant. Because you can adjust both height and brightness, one Aspect™ Gen 2 can support low-light plants like ZZ plants and pothos or high-light plants like fiddle leaf figs, bird of paradise, and citrus. It's especially popular for statement floor plants in dark corners that get little natural light.

No. The Aspect™ Gen 2 plugs into a standard wall outlet. Hang it from the included swag hook, route the 18-foot fabric cord along the ceiling and down the wall with the included fairleads, and plug it into the outlet timer. Most setups take about 15 minutes.

Every Aspect bundle includes the Aspect™ Gen 2 with its 18-foot cord, wall fairleads, a swag hook, and an outlet timer (U.S. and Canada orders), plus a mount or stand: the Pinocchio, Luna™, Archetto, or Stello™. The Aspect Gen 2 Gift Set includes two lights and two Pinocchio mounts.

The Aspect™ Gen 2 draws 36 watts. Running 12 hours a day, it uses about 13 kWh per month, roughly $2–3 at typical U.S. electricity rates.

The Aspect™ Gen 2 is rated for 50,000 hours, more than 11 years at 12 hours a day, and is backed by a 5-year warranty. Optional Soltech Extended Protection extends coverage to up to 9 years total.

Find the Best Aspect™ Pendant Grow Light for Your Home

The Aspect™ Gen 2 is the grow light that made Soltech a household name: a full-spectrum LED pendant that looks like a designer light fixture and grows plants like professional equipment. This collection brings together the Aspect and every way to hang it, from ceiling setups to wall mounts to a freestanding stand, so you can light a fiddle leaf fig in a dark corner, a monstera beside the sofa, or a plant shelf under the stairs.

The Aspect™ Gen 2: One Light for Nearly Any Plant

The Aspect™ Gen 2 delivers 50 μmol/s of plant-usable light from just 36 watts, with a built-in 10–100% dimmer and anti-glare optics that aim light down at your plants instead of into your eyes. Hang it 12–24 inches above sun-loving succulents or 48–72 inches above low-light snake plants, and adjust the dimmer to dial in each setup. It ships with an 18-foot fabric cord, swag hook, wall fairleads, and an outlet timer. Shop the Aspect™ Gen 2

Aspect Bundles: Ready-to-Hang Sets for Every Space

Prefer a complete setup? The Rise & Shine Bundle pairs the Aspect with the beechwood Pinocchio for plants near a wall. The Aspect with Luna™ Set adds a sculptural birch arch that reaches about 15 inches from the wall, and the Bethlehem Star Gift Set uses the clear Archetto for a light that seems to float. For two plants, the Aspect™ Gen 2 Gift Set includes two lights and two mounts. Shop all Aspect Bundles

No Drilling? Try the Stello™ Stand

Renters and anyone who'd rather not drill into the ceiling can hang the Aspect from the Stello™ Adjustable Pendant Stand. It stands 6 or 7.5 feet tall on a weighted base that doubles as a plant platform, so your plant sits right under the light. Get both together in the Aspect with Stello™ Set.

Warm Light That Looks Like It Belongs

Traditional grow lights bathe a room in purple. The Aspect gives off warm 3000K light with a CRI of 98, so plants, furniture, and people look natural, and at 3,000 lumens it doubles as room lighting. Customers often say guests don't realize it's a grow light at all. Add the Angle Kit to tilt the light toward a corner or wall, or browse Aspect Accessories for mounts, timers, and smart plugs. Not sure which setup fits your space? Take the Lighting Quiz or compare all Soltech grow lights.
