The original Aspect helped establish Soltech as a leader in stylish grow lights. With two size options and a sleek pendant design, it set a new standard - but like any innovation, there’s always room to grow.
Less usable light for plants meant the original Aspect Gen 1 had to work harder and couldn't achieve the same results. We wanted to bring improved growing performance to our customers, maintaining the same price and high quality.
The original Aspect used a metal reflector that looked great, but scattered light in every direction—including right into your eyes. It worked, but wasn't always comfortable to live with.

"These are bonkers. I have 4 and have gifted 1 to my bf’s dad. We love them. All plant types thrive under them and the ability to dim is pretty cool- although my plants want all the light so I don’t use the feature. Def recommend. They look great and get the job done. ""Why is it so expensive? How nice can a grow light be, anyway?" Very nice. This thing is premium. I've installed and been around designer lighting and this unit is on par. My first impression on turning it on was "oh, that color looks nice". It's very visibly a high-CRI unit with high-quality diodes/optics and electronics. I want hardwired units for my kitchen island now. I might look into whether the track heads are suitable for art displays. It's also heavier than I anticipated. I was originally planning to swag it from a drywall anchor. I didn't go that route and I'm glad I didn't."
